Phil Becker — Editor, Digital ID World

Phil Becker is the Editor-in-Chief of Digital ID World and CEO of Digital Identity World, Inc. He has been in the computer industry since 1967 and has his signature on both the Moon and Mars as part of computer communications projects he built for the Apollo and Viking missions. He has created technology to link computers for both the pre-Internet and Internet eras and as an entrepreneur built and took public two companies in the computer communications and Internet spaces. In 1992 he founded ISPCON and grew it to be the premiere Internet Service Provider Trade Show. Phil is a technical best selling author and speaker about the Internet and its impact on business and society.

Andre Durand — President and CEO, Ping Identity Corp

Founder of Jabber, Inc. and Co-Founder of Digital ID World Andre Durand is a twelve year veteran of the software industry. Prior to founding Ping Identity Corporation and the PingID Network in 2002, Mr. Durand founded Jabber, Inc. (www.jabber.com), a global leader in instant messaging and presence management systems with customers including Disney, France Telecom, AT&T, and Bell South. Prior to Jabber, Inc., Mr. Durand founded Durand communications, a provider of client/server tools for online collaboration where he served as CEO for five years before selling the company to Webb Interactive in 1998. In addition to his role as CEO of Ping Identity Corporation, the driving force behind the creation of the PingID Network, Mr. Durand also co-founded and co-chairs the digital identity industry conference --Digital ID World (www.digitalidworld.com).

Ted Julian — Vice President of Marketing, Application Security, Inc.

Ted Julian is VP, Marketing of Application Security, Inc. where he brings a combination of in-depth knowledge of the security market and a wealth of experience launching security start-ups. Ted joined Application Security from Arbor Networks, a leading network security startup, where he was a company founder and Chief Strategist. Featured as a hot startup by Network Magazine, The Red Herring, and Upside, Arbor consistently hit or exceeded its revenue targets, winning deployments across the most demanding networks around the world. Prior to Arbor, Ted was a company founder and VP of Marketing at @stake, the premier digital security consulting firm. While at @stake, the firm grew to over 130 employees and added to its Cambridge, MA headquarters, offices in Raleigh, San Francisco, Seattle, and London. Ted got his start in high-tech as a well-known industry analyst, first at International Data Corporation (IDC) and more recently at Forrester Research. Ted is a sought-after industry expert who appears regularly in the media ranging from TV appearances on CNN and ABC News to mainstream print media like the Wall Street Journal and USA Today. He is proud to have been named, “Geek Of The Week” by The Boston Globe.

George Kassabgi — Atlas Ventures

George Kassabgi is the president and CEO of Bit9, Inc., Prior to Bit9, George was Vice President Engineering and General Manager, Application Security Infrastructure with BEA Systems. Previous to his role as BEA’s GM of the Application Security Infrastructure business, George ran Engineering for BEA’s flagship application server product WebLogic, where he was responsible for the launch of the WebLogic Integration and WebLogic Enterprise Security products. Prior to his tenure with BEA, George held executive positions with Progress Software where he ran the Apptivity business unit and launched the company’s award-winning Java message server, SonicMQ. Additionally, Mr. Kassabgi holds a variety of patents on Progress SmartObject technology. George’s technology experience encompasses seven years in the Java application server market and five years in the GUI/Client/Server market. In addition to Imprivata, George serves as an advisory board member to The Indigio Group and Datapower, Inc.

Kurt Long — Founder, EpicTide Software, OpenNetwork Technologies, OpenWeb Inc

Kurt is widely recognized as an identity management industry expert, having managed numerous key initiatives as founder, president and CEO of OpenNetwork Technologies, a leading provider of Web access and identity management solutions. Before founding OpenNetwork, he started OpenWeb to address the growing need for web application development services. In less than a year, OpenWeb became one of Florida's fastest growing technology companies. OpenWeb was sold to US Web, Inc. in 1997. Prior that, he held management roles at IBM, including product manager for IBM’s DataTrade. At the outset of his career, Mr. Long served as mission manager for the Space Shuttle Real Time Launch Databank at Kennedy Space Center where he oversaw over 15 missions including the Hubble Space Telescope, Galileo and Ulysses.
