Imprivata Appoints Industry Veteran as Vice President for Its North American Healthcare Group

Seasoned Healthcare Executive to Help Imprivata Expand Leadership by Driving Continued Growth in the North American Market

Whelan brings a wealth of healthcare experience to Imprivata, which earlier this year announced the launch of a new Global Healthcare Division. In this new position, Whelan will be charged with building on the company’s momentum which includes work with more than 500 hospitals, one million healthcare users and strategic relationships with leading health information systems (HIS) vendors.

Whelan joins Imprivata with a proven track record in building and leading high-performance sales organizations within the healthcare sector. Most recently, he was a senior vice president at the Institute for Healthmetrics (IHM), a quality and performance improvement reporting solution designed for hospitals and health systems. Additional healthcare experience includes his role as corporate executive director of business development at Superior Consultant Company, a leading healthcare IT consulting firm that was acquired by ACS, then Xerox.
