Healthcare workflows... in French!
Just back from our Imprivata international business review in Amsterdam, where I met Philippe Maury, our regional manager for France. In OneSign 4.6 SP 1, we announced support for the third generation of the smart card that is the French national standard for healthcare authentication: la Carte de Professionnel de Santé (CPS).
At the same time we added a new workflow to specifically match the CPS card and the French patient information confidentiality laws.
Clinicians can insert the CPS card into a reader to authenticate first thing in the morning, and then securely log on and log off throughout the rest of the day by simply tapping the CPS card to a reader at any shared workstation.
A neat workflow that respects the French patient information confidentiality laws, but at the same time allows clinicians to get to their patient data without authentications slowing them down!
Philippe was also delighted that we recently certified OneSign with the Gemalto combined smart card/prox card reader. Gemalto is the French market leader for smart cards and their readers, and the support for those readers illustrates Imprivata’s continued commitment to the French healthcare market.
