Imprivata Proximity Aware Debuts at HIMSS19

At this year’s annual HIMSS conference, held last month in Orlando, Florida, we joined more than 45,000 professionals from across the globe to showcase innovation and collaboration in the health IT industry. 

Joel Lemieux, Manager of Product Management at Imprivata, took a few moments in the HIMSS19 exhibit hall to show HIMSSTV what he views as Imprivata’s “great new technology”– Imprivata Proximity Aware. The purpose- built solution is the first of its kind to leverage Bluetooth capabilities in an attempt to further protect PHI with invisible security. The technology uses a clinician’s mobile device to determine distance from shared workstations, locking the desktop when the user walks away.
